Pumpkinvine Battery Energy Storage would have a capacity of up to 400 MW. The facility would be located on approximately 15 acres of private industrial / commercial zoned land outside of Kokomo, Indiana in Howard County. The development process for Pumpkinvine is only just beginning and the project would not start constructin before 2027.

 

The project site was selected to minimize visibility and environmental impact to the local community. Battery Energy Storage Systems use equipment that is approximately 10-12 feet tall, is fully contained, and does not require water or other public services.
